Orlando City SC
One of the newer Major League Soccer clubs, Orlando City SC, has quickly become a popular choice for fans due to the bright purple kits and star power on the field. The team itself has done well since coming in 2015, and with star Nani still playing well, the Lions are primed for another run at the MLS playoffs. The Lions play in a soccer-specific stadium just outside of downtown, and Exploria Stadium is known as one of the top venues to watch footy in the United States.
Orlando Solar Bears
One of the best-named teams in the East Coast Hockey League, the Orlando Solar Bears enjoy one of the better stadiums in the Amway Center in the ECHL. As the third division of professional hockey in North America, the Solar Bears are home to future hopeful NHL stars, and the team has seen recent successes in playoffs. Currently, the Solar Bears are affiliated with the Tampa Bay Lightning and are hoping to continue this affiliation moving forward.
Orlando Pride
As one of the top clubs in the National Woman’s Soccer League, the Pride have made a big splash in their three years of existence. Captained by US National Team Goalkeeper Ashley Harris and led by forwarding Alex Morgan and Marta, the Pride have been disappointing on the field, but their off-field marketing has kept them as one of the leading attendances in the league. Backing off a successful Woman’s World Cup run, the Pride look to bounce back in 2019, and play their home games at Exploria Stadium.
Orlando Predators
The new kid the block, the Orlando Predators, are one of the founding members of the National Arena League which will start to play in 2019. The team will play out of the Amway Center and is looking to recruit both current college players and ex Arena Football League players from the Florida area.
