Orlando The Land Of Theme Parks
Orlando is lucky enough to be surrounded by some of the top theme parks in the nation just a few minutes from its downtown core. From the infamous Disney to SeaWorld, you are in theme park country when you arrive. Here are a few of our favorites!
Disney World Resort
The second Disney park to be created, Disney World Resort is home to classic rides, enjoyable characters and one of the best fireworks shows in the country. The park itself is massive, and we often suggest to visitors to take at least five days to see each of the various parks within the grounds. You have Epcot, Kingdom Park and the Animal Kingdom, to name a few. For you Star Wars fans, a new park will open in 2019 featuring your favorite Star Wars characters and planets.
Universal Studios
Universal has been a mainstay on the theme park tour in Orlando for years, and this park is something special. Home to the infamous Jaws ride, Universal Studios offers theme parks and water parks that take you behind the scenes and in the famous scenes of your favourite movies. From Jaws to Harry Potter, Universal allows you to experience movies like never before. Make sure to take some time to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter where you can try some butterbeer, enjoy a trip to Gringotts and experience Diagon Alley right there in person.
Discovery Cove
One of the more off the beaten parks, Discovery Cove, is home to marine and live exhibits that will bring the kid out of you at every turn. From the opportunity to swim with rays to playing with the otters and dolphins, this family-friendly resort will be a relaxing day away from roller coasters and crowds. Plus, there are some amazing deals you can secure on Groupon or Discover Orlando that will make Discovery Cove a great deal for the family for a day or two.
Sea World
Now we are not here to say to enjoy SeaWorld for the captive whales that were made infamous for their treatment in the movie Blackfish. However, SeaWorld is a class resort that provides their visitors with one of the better aquatic water experiences with a variety of rides and interactive tours around the resort. Make sure to book early, as lines for SeaWorld are often quite long and standing in 100-degree temperatures waiting for tickets is never a fun experience with kids.

Your site regarding Orlando is exciting and fascinating. It’s a fun place for families any day of the week to have non-stop fun. Orlando is in Florida, Right? I live in California and we have a theme park, I think in Anaheim. I’ve never been before to the park in California, but I hear it’s nice. Expensive as well.
These theme parks in Orlando and California have proven themselves over the years to offer good times and great family fun for all ages.
The Disney park in California is the original park. The Disney World park in Orlando Florida is much much larger than the one in California. The Disney World complex is actually made up of several theme parks each with a separate entry fee. So it’s very expensive.
My kids have been clamoring to visit a theme park but due to stress of work and my busy schedules that often times extend to weekends, I’ve found it close to impossible to grant such wishes however, I would be getting a compulsory 2weeks off for rehabilitation at work soon and I wish to spend it solely by taking my family on a park exploration in at the Orlando theme parks. I want to explore as many as possible and I love the overview you have given about each of them. Thanks

Prior to reading your article, I did not even realize that Orlando is a place surrounded by theme parks.
Among the five theme you mentioned in the article, I would love to visit Seaworld someday. Despite the sad fact that the whales are captives, it is still a fun experience to offer to the kids by watching the whales performance from far.
It is definitely a good chance to allow the kids to get closer to the whales and having a connection with them by being close.
Thank you for your informative article.
This is just the 5 that I listed. Walt Disney actually is a complex of multiple theme parks. Then there are a number of tourist spots to visit around Orlando as well.
